As Oklahoma Contemporary’s manager of public programs and performance, Chase Kaiser coordinates community engagement events and public programs, assists the director of education in curating and designing Learning Gallery exhibitions, manages communication and coordination of meetings and events with the Education and Performing Arts Committees, and provides administrative support to the Education Department.
Chase comes from a background of arts administration, curating and design. Chase earned a master’s in art education from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2017 and a bachelor’s in art and design from Columbia College Chicago in 2014. Prior to starting his position at Oklahoma Contemporary, Chase worked as the curatorial assistant to the director of exhibitions at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he assisted in planning multiple large-scale exhibitions.
While living in Chicago, Chase was an active volunteer at the Center on Halsted, Chicago’s largest LGBTQ+ community center, and played a key role in creating and facilitating programming for LGBTQ+ senior citizens.
Chase is a painter, fashion aficionado and collector of jackets. He is happy to be living in Oklahoma, where he grew up, and hopes to play a significant role in making Oklahoma City a thriving community for artists.
