
As Chief Development Officer, Chris Collins leads the Development Department and fundraising efforts in support of the institutional mission, programs, special projects and operations. His focus is on achieving the arts center’s annual and capital fundraising goals and expanding opportunities for philanthropic support of the organization
Prior to joining Oklahoma Contemporary in March of 2021, Chris led major gift fundraising efforts as director of development at Oklahoma City Community College, with responsibility for corporate and foundation relations and individual giving opportunities. He was part of a team that increased annual private support of the college by more than 50 percent. He has served in similar roles at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.
A sixth generation Oklahoman, Chris grew up in Hugo before attending the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He went on to earn a Master of Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma. Chris is an avid supporter of both education and the arts, and serves on the board of the USAO Alumni Association. He enjoys traveling, learning to cook and playing tennis.
