
As print and digital designer, Cody Giles helps to execute the creative for Oklahoma Contemporary’s marketing, advertising, exhibition design and print collateral. He also designs and handles day-to-day management of the arts center’s email marketing campaigns.
Cody brings more than a decade of art and design experience to the team. Moving to Norman in 2016, he began designing daily and special section layouts for The Norman Transcript before taking the helm of Norman Magazine, which went on to receive the 2019 Magazine of the Year award from the Oklahoma Press Association. He also has designed for marketing firms and cultivated a thriving freelance photography career.
Cody received his B.A. in journalism with an emphasis in design from Texas A&M University-Commerce. While in school, he served in multiple editorial roles, including editor and photographer at the campus newspaper, The East Texan. In the 15 years since, photography has taken him all over the world, from London, Paris and Madrid to Jamaica, the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica.
As an active member of the Norman arts community, Cody serves on the Norman Arts Council and Norman Music Festival boards. Within the NAC board, he serves on the Programs, Equity and Justice, and Public Arts committees. He serves as the PR and social media chair for NMF.
