As the technical and production manager for Oklahoma Contemporary, David Pilchman provides support for organizational, programmatic and technical needs at this diverse, year-round arts center. David works closely with all departments to coordinate theatrical, performance and technical needs for special events and programming.
For the last five years, he has worked in the theater arts and entertainment industry in New York City, applying his skills to numerous theatrical stage productions and live events at a variety of venues, including the American Museum of Natural History, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the New York Public Library, among others. Prior to moving to New York, he spent several years in Wichita, Kan., as the production stage manager for the Crown Uptown Professional Dinner Theater, producing multiple large-scale musicals each season, organizing additional internal programming and hosting outside artists performing at the venue.
David received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater with an Emphasis in Stage Management from the University of Oklahoma. He is excited to return to his hometown. As someone with deep roots in Oklahoma City, he has a great respect and pride for how the arts and entertainment industry helps drive the growth of the community and looks forward to contributing to that landscape.
