Kau’i Kanahele is responsible for coordinating innovative programs with a particular focus on youth, school, family and intergenerational learning as the coordinator of youth and family programs. She works in collaboration with the manager of youth and family programs and facilitates programs including Camp Contemporary, Second Saturday and school group visits.
Kau’i was introduced to Oklahoma Contemporary as a youth enrolled in Camp Contemporary. She has worked passionately to keep the youth in her community connected with their creativity. As an educator, Kau’i had the privilege of teaching students at Oklahoma City Girls’ Arts School.
Kau’i earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Central Oklahoma. She completed her education with an emphasis in and a love of sculpture.
