Keenan Echols joined Oklahoma Contemporary as staff accountant in November 2021. He helps to manage, maintain, and update the finances at Oklahoma Contemporary in order for the organization to continue achieving its vision of providing arts to all.
Born in San Antonio, Keenan moved to Overland Park, Kansas, briefly and then to Edmond, Oklahoma, in 2006. Of all the places he has lived, Keenan has resided in Oklahoma the longest, and it has become his favorite place to live and grow.
Keenan obtained an accounting degree from Oklahoma State University in 2019. Prior to Oklahoma Contemporary, he worked with Thom-Dobson-Womack, a small accounting firm in Oklahoma City, where he performed bookkeeping and prepared tax returns and monthly accounting reconciliations for a variety of clients, from individuals to businesses of all kinds.
Keenan is currently working towards sitting for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam and earning his certification. When he is not studying, Keenan enjoys playing the trumpet, playing pickup basketball at the gym and exploring new places with his girlfriend, Sterling.
