As development officer, Lauren contributes to Oklahoma Contemporary’s fundraising efforts along with the Development Team. Her duties include building and maintaining relationships with donors, supporting the organization’s mission in the community and helping to plan special events.
A Texas native, Lauren primarily lived in the DFW area before relocating to Oklahoma City in September 2021. She has since fallen in love with OKC and is inspired by its residents’ passion for their community.
Before joining Oklahoma Contemporary, Lauren spent four years as the executive meetings specialist for the Arlington, Texas, Convention & Visitors Bureau. There she worked with clients to coordinate hotel, meeting and convention center space for groups planning their events in Arlington. She worked across all industries and had the opportunity to collaborate with world-class venues such as AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field. Lauren also has a background in planning and executing events; she worked for a public botanic garden in Weatherford, Texas, for many years, where she primarily planned weddings and public events.
Lauren graduated with a public relations/event management degree from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. She enjoys watching reality TV, trying the newest restaurants with her boyfriend, Adam, and finding the best lighting for her Instagram feed.
