Rowdy Gilbert has served in development and leadership positions in higher education and arts and culture nonprofit organizations for nearly a decade. In his role as deputy chief development officer, Rowdy focuses on generating contributed revenue through major gifts in support of the arts center’s institutional mission, programs, special projects and operations.

Prior to joining Oklahoma Contemporary, Rowdy served in fundraising roles at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the American Pops Orchestra, in Washington, D.C. He also previously worked at the University of Oklahoma — his own alma mater — in international admissions and recruitment, development and public affairs.

Originally from Oklahoma, Rowdy has enjoyed returning to the heartland with his wife, Shannon, and their daughter, Arden.
