As Registrar, Tabitha Austin supports Oklahoma Contemporary’s exhibitions by coordinating the safe movement of featured artworks from shipping to installation. She also works closely with the Exhibitions and Operations teams to implement campus-wide preservation strategies.
Before joining Oklahoma Contemporary, Tabitha worked as a conservator of paper-based modern and contemporary artworks in private practice and public institutions in New York, London and Antwerp.
Tabitha earned her Master of Arts in Conservation from the University of the Arts London and Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art from Louisiana State University. She is a graduate of Shades of Noir and served as the organization’s first Archive Developer.
She is passionate about facilitating experiences with contemporary art that inspire curiosity and foster community connection.
