Studio School Exhibition

Studio School is a place where creativity and community matter.
Since 1989, people of different ages with different jobs living in different neighborhoods have come together to weave, sew, paint, draw, make pots, and write.
Across four terms a year, we offer eight-week and four-week classes plus one-night workshops. Our artist instructors exhibit nationally and internationally. They are experienced makers who know that creating anything—a painting, a dress, a pendant, or bowl—is a process of experimentation and failure, because for artists, failure isn’t the end, it’s just another beginning.
The artworks in this exhibition are made by our current instructors, staff, renters, and students—people just like you who took a leap and decided to make things with their hands.
