Oklahoma Comic Arts Festival Exhibition

Oklahoma Comic Arts Festival Exhibition

Presented in partnership with Oklahoma Comic Arts Foundation

August 28–September 21, 2025
Education Wing

Many people think of comics and graphic novels as contemporary art forms, but their roots are quite ancient. Pictorial storytelling was found in cave paintings, tapestries, and hieroglyphs—so whether you’re a reader, a creator, or both, you’re participating in one of the oldest art forms!

Comics and graphic novels are visual narratives, combining the principles of design with techniques of storytelling. Every page is designed and illustrated to guide the viewer through intriguing plots by using color, composition, compelling characters, and rich environments. This exhibit showcased local artists and invited guests.
