Four-Week Class | Printmaking Experimentation: Monotypes and More

Join artist and honored educator Kathleen Blake and experiment with monotype printmaking and various mark-making techniques. Learn how to use an etching press, and create one image from multiple plates. You’ll also learn how to roll and wipe ink and how to utilize registration for multiple runs. The class uses Akua non-toxic colored inks that easily clean up with water. Leave class with many prints!

You can find the syllabus here.

Looking for inspiring prints? Check out our upcoming exhibition, The Art of Food: From the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation.

Open Studio time is included with registration. Open Studio allows currently enrolled students to work on their projects in Oklahoma Contemporary’s studios outside of class meetings. Availability varies weekly, and times are posted outside each studio.
