Four-Week Class | Oklahoma Contemporary Composers

Join local composer Jacob Frost to learn about the exciting new music being made in Oklahoma City and the state. Students will explore the work of a diverse array of Oklahoma composers and discuss the musical and cultural elements of their work. The course will involve music from every corner of the “contemporary classical” genre, such as orchestral, experimental and electroacoustic music, including the work of Indigenous composers. Experienced listeners and newcomers alike will leave with an appreciation for the work of local composers and tools to discuss and analyze new music. Registration closes Sunday, Oct. 17 at 11:59 p.m.
