Class

Class | Beginning Wheel Throwing - Saturday Evening

This class will equip students with the fundamentals of throwing on the potter’s wheel. This class will focus on creating cylinders and provide opportunities for advancement towards handles and bowls. A cylinder is the basis for many forms — including teapots, mugs, pitchers and vases — and is where all potters begin. For a successful course and understanding of the process, students should spend extra time in the studio. The instructor will also emphasize glazing and basic surface treatments.
