Class | Introduction to Natural Dyes

Whether you’re interested in dyeing your own yarn for knitting and weaving or just love the science involved in extracting color from wildflowers, this course is for you! Students will learn to tend a dye pot, prep fibers, keep a dye journal and explore color shifts using pH levels and modifiers. Projects include dyeing a cotton market tote and linen napkins and steam dyeing a silk scarf.
