This isn't your typical wine-and-paint workshop! Join Studio School for an evening of grown-up fun. No art skills needed, but you can flex those social muscles as you pick up a new art-making skill. 21+ only, please. All supplies are included!

Workshop | Make a Ceramic Parfait Dish

Make a ceramic parfait and use it to have ice cream sundaes for dinner. In French parfait means perfect. It's your life. Parfait, sashay, hey hey. Pass the hot fudge.

Join us for a two-day, hands-on workshop as we dive into the topic of Raku ceramics. Together, we'll explore traditional Japanese Raku as it relates to religious and cultural practices and its later expression among American ceramicists in the mid-1900s. During the first workshop session, you'll use hand building techniques to create tea bowls. We'll meet the following weekend to glaze and fire your works using the Raku process.

This in-person workshop will take place outside and the Raku process can be messy, so dress accordingly. Open to students of all levels. All materials and tools are included.

Workshop | Make A Ceramic Flower Frog and then Arrange Flowers in Your Frog

A flower frog is not an actual frog. Ribbit. It's a thing that holds flower stems. If you kiss a flower frog a prince may or may not appear. Ribbit. This is a two-part workshop. Ribbit. Ribbit. On the first date you will make your ceramic flower frog. On the second date you will learn to arrange flowers using the frog you made and using a vessel or vase from home. Details about recommended vessels (vases, bowls, whatever you have at home) will be included in your welcome letter.

Back by popular demand! Re-enact your favorite pottery scenes from the movie Ghost without the inconvenience of your significant other getting murdered. We can’t promise helpful advice from a psychic, but we do think you and your companion will have a great time learning to use the potter’s wheel and making a small bowl.

Bring a date, bring a friend, bring anyone you want as long as your partner is actually alive.

The purchase price is for TWO spots. So couples only need to buy one ticket.

Learn all about this mysterious, magical dye. Use shibori techniques to fold, scrunch, and tie your fabric, creating fantastic patterns. Then dye your items using our pre-mixed indigo vats!

What is indigo? Indigo is a natural, plant-based dye that creates iconic blues. Indigo has been used for thousands of years to dye everything from Tutankamen’s handkerchief to Levi’s blue jeans.

What is shibori? Shibori is a traditional Japanese dye technique that creates intricate patterns. Fabric is folded and bound before it is dyed. This creates resist-areas, where there is no dye, and dyed areas.

Make ceramic earrings with the person who mothers you best! You both will make a pair of earrings and a pendant using underglazes, paint pens and fun patterns. Hang out, laugh and make something fun to wear. It's better than brunch.

This two-evening workshop combines hand building clay techniques and flower arranging skills. In the first session you will hand build a ceramic vase. In the second session you will learn how to arrange flowers for your new vase.
