Camp | Tell Your Tales

Inspired by the Edgar Heap of Birds: HONOR SONG exhibition, this weeklong storytelling art camp invites campers to explore the rich traditions of Native American culture, especially from the Pacific Northwest. Each day, campers will experiment with a new medium and learn to tell stories about themes like origin, growth through sharing and serving others. Art projects will include button blanket wall hangings, copper jewelry, wood trays, "bentwood" boxes and bead and seashell necklaces. By the end of the week, they’ll have a collection of unique art pieces that tell their personal stories, all while discovering the power of Native American storytelling.
