Camp | Creative Creatures
SOLD OUT. Let your little unicorn or monster go wild this spring break! Inspired by contemporary artists and mythical beasts, this fun and fanciful camp will inspire and delight your kiddo. Campers will work together and individually to create 2-D and 3-D silly creatures using paint, paper, fabric and much more.
Camp | Make & CreATE!
SOLD OUT. Make art you can EAT! In celebration of the exhibition The Art of Food, campers will create artwork inspired by and made of food. From printmaking with vegetables to sculpting with fruit, this camp will have young artists hungry for more!
Camp | Ama-ZINE Book Making
SOLD OUT. Join us for an ama-ZINE journey this spring break! Campers will use a collection of specialty papers, fabrics, paint, found materials and more to create different styles of books, including sketchbooks, comic-style graphic novels, zines and accordion-folded books. Campers will learn storyboarding techniques to tell a visual tale and use different binding, folding, cutting and pop-out methods to make their original stories come to life.
Camp | Clay Cravings
SOLD OUT. Inspired by our spring exhibition The Art of Food, this camp combines the dynamic world of contemporary ceramics and food. Campers will practice throwing clay on a pottery wheel, learn hand building and glazing processes and express their personal creativity through surface design, texture and color. By week’s end, they’ll take home several finished — and delicious-looking — ceramic art pieces!
Camp | Upcycled Sculptures
This camp will expand your young artists’ understanding of sculpture and public art by looking at and learning about the innovative contemporary artist Thomas Dambo. Campers will turn debris into artistic treasure by giving unwanted items new life. They’ll learn and practice light carpentry skills, how to safely use hand tools and explore modern-day recycled art practices to create 3-D, upcycled sculptures. They’ll never look at discarded items the same way again!
