Early Childhood

In light of the COVID-19 public health crisis, Oklahoma Contemporary has postponed the opening of our new home, including Studio School, Camp Contemporary and Public Programs.

We appreciate your understanding as we navigate this ongoing situation, and we look forward to welcoming you soon. In the meantime, please explore the all-ages virtual and digital programs on our blog, New Light.

When our new arts center opens, Oklahoma Contemporary will expand our programs for visitors of all ages, even the very young. In our new SONIC Drive-In Early Childhood Studio, we will place our youngest visitors at the center of their learning experience with a dedicated space designed for their growing minds and bodies. Children ages 0-to 4, and their caregivers, will be able to look and listen in the galleries or move and make in the studio.

StART Studio

Introduce your toddler to contemporary art and form meaningful connections through songs, stories and art-making activities inspired by the current exhibition. During this educator-led class, toddlers with their adult caregivers will explore the gallery and learn about art through play.

Contemporary Kids

Stimulate your kids’ natural curiosity through movement, art-making, engaging stories, songs and interactive gallery walks. This class will be led by an educator and invite kids and their adult caregiver to explore and collaborate through activities inspired by contemporary art and artists.

Early registration: Members at all levels will receive early access to registration.

Discounts: Members at all levels will receive a 10 percent discount on Early Childhood programs for children in their household. If you are not a current member, join today.

Future Early Childhood Programming

Zero2Four Art Lab is an Early Childhood program for children ages 0-to 4 years old with an adult caregiver and provides an opportunity to drop-in to explore, experiment, and learn in a safe studio space designed to spark curiosity in our littlest visitors. Discover the many art materials, innovative toys, enlightening books and interactive stations tailored for tots. Activities may be educator-led or self-guided.
