Oklahoma Contemporary Teen Arts Council (OCTAC) is a diverse group of teens with varied backgrounds and experiences who are interested in exploring contemporary art, ideas and the creative process through collaboration and engagement with artists, curators, educators, community partners and the public.
OCTAC members spend an academic year engaging in gallery experiences, exploring a variety of artistic methods and genres, discovering the professional art world, learning about a variety of art-related career options, advising Oklahoma Contemporary staff, planning programs and gaining a deep understanding of art organizations by working with artists and community organizations.
OCTAC meets during the school year from September to May (twice a month, 4:30-6:30 p.m.) to develop projects with artists, community, staff and other teens. Food is provided for every meeting and teens are financially compensated.
Contact the Manager of Teen and Youth Programs at teens@okcontemp.org with any questions or concerns.
