Share at the Showroom is a monthly event featuring discussions on culture and art, and performances by local artists. The event is usually held at our Showroom location, on the site of our new arts campus at NW 11th and Broadway.

Jordan Vinyard and Nick Poss
Multidisciplinary artist and Assistant Professor of Art at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma Jordan Vinyard will discuss her artistic practice and the themes within her work. These themes often center on the idea of absurdity being a driving force of life.
Composer, sound designer and educator Nick Poss will present a series of audio clips from scores he’s worked on for various films, including deadCenter’s Best Oklahoma Film 2018, You People.
Oct. 18: Marilyn Artus and Grace Babb
Marilyn Artus will lead a discussion on protest art and how creatives can use art as activism. She will share about the inspiration and creative process behind her latest series of works, which are part of a project titled. The Flag. Works within this project are those which find Artus, "...using the American flag and all its preexisting meanings as a vehicle for exploration of the feminine." Grace Babb, member of bands Annie Oakley and Spinster, will perform a solo set of her original songs.
Sept. 20: Justen Renyer and Swim Fan
Designer and motion graphics creator Justen Renyer stops by to describe his creative process and the insight he's gained as an assistant professor at OSU. You can also see Justen's work in The Art of Promotion, on view now at the Showroom! Before the discussion, dream pop band Swim Fan will perform a stripped-down set of their original songs.
