Nov. 15 - Dec. 22, 2018
Oklahoma Contemporary’s Ceramics Sale is an annual tradition and fundraising event that showcases an array of work by our instructors and students. All objects are available for purchase and proceeds from sales support the Ceramics program and the acquisition of new equipment and supplies for the Ceramics Studio.
This year’s sale will also include a small juried exhibition, Contemporary Clay, that presents work by Oklahoma-based artists whose work and creative practice explores diverse ideas, techniques, forms and surface manipulation . All of the work in the exhibition is available for purchase with proceeds benefiting both the artist and Oklahoma Contemporary.
Featured artists include Liz Boudreaux, Peter Coates, Eric Hoefer, Mayumi Kiefer, Kara Lane, Paul Pfrehm and David Stevens.
Oklahoma Contemporary’s working ceramics studio boasts six instructors, several studio volunteers and countless students. Our ceramics program offers classes for students of all skill levels and hosts studio hours to allow students to further hone their skills. Our instructors and students create and donate all of the works for this sale. Proceeds go back into the studio to make repairs, replenish glazes, update worn-out tools and help us keep our student costs low.
By purchasing, you get one-of-a-kind, handmade, usable works of art. We get your financial support. Thank you.
