Giving Tuesday: Give the Gift of Art
Help Oklahoma Contemporary Bring Creativity to Classrooms
This Giving Tuesday, Oklahoma Contemporary invites you to Give the Gift of Art, helping ensure that students and teachers across Oklahoma City have the tools, resources and inspiration they need to learn, create and thrive through art.
Art empowers young minds to think critically, express themselves confidently and connect learning across every subject. Yet many classrooms lack the essential supplies that make creativity possible.
We’re calling on our community to come together and Give the Gift of Art through a citywide art supply drive benefiting Oklahoma City Public Schools.
Our goal is to partner with 40 community organizations and businesses to collect much-needed supplies that expand access to hands-on, high-quality arts education for every student in Oklahoma City.
Join the Campaign
You can support Giving Tuesday: Give the Gift of Art by:
- Becoming a community partner: Join as one of our 40 partners to host an art supply collection site at your business or organization.
- Donating art supplies: Bring new materials to Oklahoma Contemporary during gallery hours from November 15–December 2.
- Making a tax-deductible gift: Contribute directly to ARTS LAB at Oklahoma Contemporary, which provides thousands of Oklahoma students each year with field trips that integrate the arts with core curriculum subjects from science and history to language arts and math.
What We Need Most
We’re focusing on three essential categories most requested by Oklahoma teachers:
- Acrylic, tempera and washable paints, the foundation for hands-on creative exploration.
- Watercolors and watercolor paper, encouraging experimentation, blending and imagination.
- Brushes, palettes, canvases and painting paper, the tools that bring every student’s vision to life.
Be Part of the Movement
By joining Oklahoma Contemporary’s Giving Tuesday: Give the Gift of Art, you’ll help ensure that creativity is not a privilege, it’s a part of every child’s education.
Together, we can equip classrooms, empower teachers and inspire the next generation of Oklahoma creators.
