Inclusion in Art’s “Artist Mentoring Artist”

Inclusion in Art is an organization dedicated to promoting racial and cultural diversity in Oklahoma’s visual arts community.

Inclusion in Art’s “Artist Mentoring Artist” exhibition marked the conclusion of their 2018 mentorship program with a showcase of works by visual artists Shannon Nicole and Gabriel Rojas. These two emerging artists were selected to work with the organization's art committee in order to expand their professionalism and prepare an exhibition-ready body of work.

The art committee -- Amena Butler, Suzanne Thomas, Randall Barnes and Bryon Perdue Jr. -- worked to provide the selected artists with the tools and resources to be successful and continue providing fresh and diverse perspectives in the Oklahoma arts community. The Inclusion in Art mentorship program is an opportunity held annually for student and emerging artists of color.
