Watercolor: Food + Gouache

Overview

tuesdays, Apr. 7 - Apr. 28
6 - 8:30 p.m.

Main Building | In Honor of Bryan and Kendall Hall Studio Two

Beginners welcome! This four week food-themed class introduces you to gouache. Are you scared of this class because you don't know what gouache is let alone how to pronounce it?

We got you: it's gwash.

Gwash is a water-based and opaque paint that dries to a matte finish which means you can layer light colors over dark colors!

Come gwash with us! (And yes, I get it. Gwash sounds like a failed marketing concept for a gummy liquid-filled kid's snack, but we promise you'll like it if you try it ((which sounds like a failed marketing slogan for a dubious restaurant chain )) so I'm gonna quit while I'm ahead (((which sounds like a failed marketing slogan for a sinus medicine.)))). Help.

If one class is postponed due to weather or unforeseen instructor circumstances, the rain date is May 5.

Open Studio time is included with registration. Open Studio allows currently enrolled students to work on their projects in Oklahoma Contemporary’s studios outside of class meetings. Availability varies weekly, and times are posted outside each studio.
