About
Now in its 26th year, the deadCenter Film Festival is Oklahoma’s largest and only Oscar-qualifying film festival, with the winner of two short film categories eligible for an Academy Award. Named one of the "20 Coolest Film Festivals in the World" by MovieMaker Magazine and in the “Top 100 Best Reviewed Festivals” on FilmFreeway, deadCenter has attracted hundreds of thousands of filmmakers and film lovers to Oklahoma City and earned a reputation as THE place to see the best independent films from Oklahoma and beyond.
Oklahoma Contemporary will serve as the festival hub for the second year in a row and host a lineup of panel conversations and film screenings. It's a great chance to see exciting new short films, insightful documentaries, hilarious comedies, scary monster movies, and the best independent films from around the world and all over Oklahoma.
The mission of the deadCenter Film Festival is to inspire, promote, and celebrate creativity and community through film. deadCenter accomplishes this mission with a renowned festival each June, a year-round education program, and screenings throughout the year in partnerships with museums and various arts organizations.
