Creative learning for students, teachers and schools
Oklahoma Contemporary’s ARTS LAB is a unified platform for arts education designed to support Oklahoma classrooms through dynamic, standards-aligned programs. Grounded in contemporary visual and performing arts, ARTS LAB connects students and educators to creativity, critical thinking and real-world application, both inside and beyond the classroom.
Whether you’re planning a field trip, seeking professional development or exploring careers in the arts, ARTS LAB offers flexible, relevant learning experiences for every stage of the educational journey.
Grades 3–12 STEAM-integrated experiences that bring contemporary exhibitions to life through guided tours and hands-on artmaking. These standards-aligned visits support learning across multiple subject areas, not just the arts, and are tailored to your students’ grade level and curriculum needs.
Designed for K–12 teachers, these studio-based professional development sessions focus on creative practice, reflection, and classroom application. Workshops align with Oklahoma Academic Standards and equip educators with hands-on skills and ideas they can bring back to their schools.
This one-day event introduces high school students to career possibilities in dance, theater, and visual art through live performance, artist panels, and hands-on workshops. Students choose a track and gain firsthand insight into creative industries, guided by working professionals in the field.
Oklahoma Contemporary is committed to making contemporary art accessible and impactful for students and educators across Oklahoma, including Title I and rural schools.
