Dana Tacker is a passionate gallery guide and devoted member of the Visitor Experience team at Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center. Her journey from a successful career as a labor and employment attorney at Crowe & Dunlevy to the world of art has been fueled by an unwavering curiosity and a dedication to fostering enriching experiences.
As a gallery guide, Dana’s mission extends beyond merely sharing information. She engages in thoughtful conversations with guests that bring contemporary art to life, drawing visitors into the captivating narratives. Dana conducts a diverse range of tours, including school tours with students of all ages, Saturday Public Tours, Family Tours and special event tours.
As a member of the Visitor Experience team, Dana often works as a gallery attendant, ensuring that each guest in the gallery has a positive and fulfilling experience.
Dana practiced labor and employment law at Crowe & Dunlevy for 18 years, having graduated from Oklahoma City School of Law and Baylor University. Recently, Dana obtained her art law certification from London-based Christie's Education, an international institution specializing in the study of art history, art business and art law. Though her career path has shifted, the skills she honed in critical thinking and communications as an attorney aid her every day in her role as a gallery guide and as a VE team member.
When not in the galleries at Oklahoma Contemporary, you’ll find Dana traveling, planning an upcoming trip, immersed in a good book, spending time with her family, going to movies, going to the theater or walking with friends.
