Faime Walking by Julian Opie is the first artwork to land in the Sculpture Garden. Installed adjacent to the walkway leading to the building’s main entrance, this larger-than-life LED monolith display reflects the movement of our visitors as they arrive and depart from the new arts center.

THE STARS PULLED DOWN FOR REAL by Robert Montgomery, a billboard of LED lights, will illuminate Oklahoma Contemporary's North Lawn. The large-scale work about the built environment of contemporary cities adapts Ezra Pound's essay Patria Mia, a 1913 tribute to the dazzling lights of New York.

Learn the basics of embroidery while discovering thread painting (also known as needle painting). Though paint isn’t actually used, many of the stylistic techniques used in painting are applied to this approach. Threads are blended while stitching to suggest color, light and dimension.
