
As director of marketing and communications, Marie Butterline develops, implement and executes Oklahoma Contemporary’s strategic marketing, advertising and paid promotional campaigns, oversees the look and feel of the organization’s visual brand and leads the Communications team.
With more than 20 years of professional experience, Marie’s creative background includes acclaimed work on global campaigns for several Fortune 500 brands. She began her career at Fleming Company (now Ivie by Quad) as a graphic designer and spent a number of years on the design team at Tinker Air Force Base. For 13 years, Marie held a position on the leadership team of Allegiant Marketing Group (now the AMG Team). Through her accomplishments as the director of design and marketing, she has facilitated the development, design and production of cross-channel marketing campaigns, including direct mail, digital media and corporate branding. Her achievements include coveted nominations for the United States Post Office’s Irresistible Mail Award and the National Cooperative Marketing and Design Award.
Marie’s community involvement includes membership to the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) and Allied Arts. In 1999, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design with a minor in Photography from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
Marie is a Philadelphia native, a first-generation college graduate and the daughter of an Italian immigrant. She is an artist and receives the ultimate gratification and inspiration by surrounding herself with other creatives.
