This exhibition showcases original comic art from local and out-of-state creators featured in the 2026 Oklahoma Comic Arts Festival.

Comics as we know them today are a modern evolution of visual narratives going back as far as cave wall paintings at the dawn of humankind. Today’s comics, including newspaper comic strips, comic books, and webcomics, all tell stories through images in a sequence: introducing characters, developing a plot, and building a world in which the action takes place.

As you encounter each unique page of comic art, notice how every artist’s style impacts the storytelling, how space is used, and how details are placed to guide your eye through the page.
