Presented in partnership with Sooner Hope for Ukraine
Children are intuitive artists, drawing from their hearts and souls to convey emotions and experience. This exhibition presented a collection of artworks created by young Ukrainians who wanted to share their fears, hopes, and dreams with the world.
Through their art, they celebrated the bravery and resilience of the Ukrainian people, showcasing a nation's unwavering spirit. They dreamed of a peaceful Ukraine, where birdsong replaces sirens and the sky is brilliant blue. They imagined a morning spent with family, sharing laughter and breakfast, with the freedom to attend school without fear.
Sooner Hope, a community of Ukrainian expats and compassionate Oklahomans, supports communities across Ukraine. Sooner Hope also supports the extraordinary talent of young artists from Zaporizhzhia and other cities who are bringing hope and inspiration to the world.
We believe art can bring people together and inspire hope in the darkest of times.
This exhibition was co-curated by Lyuda Cameron and Lisa Karrer.
