Ana Maria Hernando
Oct. 15 - Dec. 20, 2013 | Fairgrounds
Ana Maria Hernando creates installations, paintings, drawings and prints with a layering of natural and formal elements. Designs derived from her Argentinian background are blended with images of plants and insects. Hernando says, “Flowers are my inspiration. They are sensual delicate, quiet, beautiful. I see them as the utmost expression of a plant. Using patterns as a backdrop for the flowers is a reminder to me of the playfulness between sensuality and spirituality, the hiding and the revealing, the fullness and the sparseness, the rules and the inspirations.”
