Throughout the year, expert Studio School instructors present classes and workshops in painting, drawing, printmaking and design for students of all levels. Students work with industry-standard equipment and materials, such as professional painting and drawing easels, lighting and an etching printmaking press.

Tuition for multi-week courses does not include materials. When signing up for a class, all students agree to abide by the policies set forth in the Student Handbook.

Increase your confidence in drawing, sharpen your observational skills and feel more creative. Great for beginners and experienced drawers. You'll draw with conte crayons, vine and compressed charcoal, pencils, and even crayons.

Painting won’t make your boss disappear, but it can make you feel more chill.

Improve your painting and your life by learning to manage stress and reduce day-to-day tension. Each class includes mindfulness techniques and painting exercises, like experimenting with line and shape, layering, texture and color relationships. Subject matter varies weekly and includes still life, portraiture and even sound! Perfect for people who have never painted or never felt calm. Also great for experienced painters who want to approach their practice from a different perspective.

Join artist and honored educator Kathleen Blake, to explore alternative drawing methods. This class stretches your imagination and helps you feel creative and invigorated. Drawing can mean interpreting objects and shapes, but it also means drawing emotions, symbols and abstract forms. Experiment with making marks and interpreting the world, both the one around you and one in your head!

Have fun experimenting with different ways of drawing that spark your creativity. Whether you’re a total beginner or an experienced artist, this class will surprise and delight you.
