Throughout the year, expert Studio School instructors present classes and workshops in painting, drawing, printmaking and design for students of all levels. Students work with industry-standard equipment and materials, such as professional painting and drawing easels, lighting and an etching printmaking press.
Tuition for multi-week courses does not include materials. When signing up for a class, all students agree to abide by the policies set forth in the Student Handbook.

Four-Week Class | Draw! Live! Dogs!

Learn how to draw dogs because life is hard, and dogs make everything better. Each class features a dog super model. You’ll learn dog anatomy and techniques for quick sketches and finished drawings, and if you’re lucky, maybe you’ll get your face licked.

Eight-Week Class | Watercolor: Learn to Gouache Landscapes and Botanicals

No experience necessary! Gouache is like watercolor with the addition of white pigment to make the paint opaque. Learn the foundations of gouache in this beginner-friendly class focusing on painting landscapes and botanicals. You'll learn skills such as color blocking, compositional planning and using outdoor plein air sketches as a tool to complete finished paintings within the studio.

No experience necessary! Join artist Isa Rodriguez to get unstuck and be more creative. There are as many ways to draw as there are people who want to draw. In this class, you’ll practice drawing techniques like gesture, contour, scribbling (yes, scribbling is drawing), tracing, collage, automatic drawing and other stuff.
