Spring camp lineup

Ages 5-6 | Puppet Parade | BC Summer | $245
Main Building | Howard Family Charitable Foundation Studio Three

It’s puppet-making with a purpose! Campers will combine fabric, paint, upcycled materials and more to make larger-than-life puppets inspired by Little Amal. Little Amal is a 12-foot puppet that’s become an international symbol of compassion and human rights. She carries a message of hope for displaced people, especially children, around the world. During Friday’s Camp Contemporary Showcase, campers will walk their puppets around the building to inspire hope and creativity in others!

Ages 5-6 | Color Blast! | Jenny Elton | $245
Main Building | Clements Family Studio One

It’s time to get colorful! In this camp, campers will use a variety of art materials, from paint and paper to clay and crayons, to create a rainbow of artworks. Little artists will learn about color mixing and practice working together to create a large, colorful, collaborative art piece. At Friday’s Camp Contemporary showcase, family and friends will marvel at all the ways their camper can express themselves through color!

Ages 7-9 | Sewn Stuffies | Dana Beach | SOLD OUT
Main Building | In Honor of Bryan and Kendall Hall Studio Two

Have you ever wanted one of your drawings to come to life? Now’s your chance! In this camp, campers will learn how to take a character sketch and turn it into reality while also learning the basics of hand and machine sewing. Campers will complete their stuffies with embellishments and unique accessories. By week’s end, campers will take home several finished stuffies that are guaranteed to be cherished for years to come.

Ages 7-9 | Superhero Character Design | Danny Gordon | $245
The Studios Building | Flex Studio

Create a dynamic superhero! Inspired by our exhibiting artist Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy and her role
as a director in Disney’s “Ms. Marvel” series, campers will create a coming-of-age superhero purely
from their imagination. In this camp, campers will devise a backstory, design, sketch, trace, color
and finalize a character. At week’s end, they’ll have three finished illustrations depicting their young
superhero in epic situations!

Ages 10-12 | Wacky & Wild Birdhouses | Liz Boudreaux | $245
The Studios Building | Kim and Steve Bruno Hand Building Studio

Let’s build a home-sweet-home for our feathered friends...out of clay! In this camp, campers will design fun and funky birdhouses while learning the essentials of hand-building and glazing. Campers will take home a finished birdhouse that will showcase their new ceramic skills as well as provide local birds with a place to call home.
