Make a fun and customizable small backpack! Because we need this, I mean what if this cutey—perfect as an adult purse or kiddo backpack— is what your life has needed all along? Could it be as simple as this? Make a backpack and viola! you're transported to a life with no dirty dishes, no laundry, bills, dumb bosses. lousy coworkers and toooooooo many emails. What if some padding, webbing and a zipper really is the answer?  Seems worth a try, doesn't it?

Instructor Lisa Smallwood is a sewing wonder . She makes this project fun and stress free because she has made a lot backpacks and she has tips. Tips, people.

You'll use the Violet Backpack pattern by Knot + Thread (more info on the syllabus).

If one class is postponed due to weather or unforeseen instructor circumstances, the rain date is Dec. 10. 

Open Studio time is included with registration. Open Studio allows currently enrolled students to work on their projects in Oklahoma Contemporary’s studios outside of class meetings. Availability varies weekly, and times are posted outside each studio.
