Fiber Arts | Four-Week Class

Mini Art Quilt!

Overview

wednesdays, Apr. 8 - Apr. 29
6 - 8:30 p.m.

Main Building | Howard Family Charitable Foundation Studio Three

Learn the basics of Foundation Paper Pieced (FPP) and make your own quilted wall hanging in this exciting and adaptive class. Choose from either a cat pattern or a sewing machine pattern (because, as far as we know, cats can't use sewing machines...yet). Customize your project with your own fabric, notions, creativity and pizzazz. If you read pizazz as pizza, I don't blame you. Sometimes pizza has more pizzazz than I do. Okay, fine. Pizza always has more pizzazz than I do—I can't compete with hot cheese. Anyhow, I've gotten off track but Lisa, your instructor will not. She's great and your finished quilt will be great too because you have the pizzazz to make a great mini art quilt.

• Your finished quilt will be approximately 24 x 24 inches.
• Basic sewing experience and a sewing machine is required.
• Before class begins, Lisa will contact you to ask which pattern you want. On the first day of class your printed pattern will be ready for you and you'll also receive a .pdf copy of your pattern for future use.
• The pattern cost is $10 and you'll pay Lisa on the first day of class.

If class is canceled due to instructor illnes or inclement weather, the rain date is May 6.
Open Studio time is included with registration. Open Studio allows currently enrolled students to work on their projects in Oklahoma Contemporary’s studios outside of class meetings. Availability varies weekly, and times are posted outside each studio.
